Dennis sharing research on a tour
Sharing my Research
Since I started doing Roswell UFO Tours about 2 years ago, I've had the opportunity to share my research with hundreds of people from all over the world. Normally, when presenting lectures or in editorials I write, I concentrate on one of the four areas of research I've devoted my life to for the past 25 years. However, with people in my vehicle for tours, which last from 2 - 3 hours, many times topics other than Roswell will be brought up, and I'm happy to share what I know about those things when I'm asked. I have discovered that many people only have limited knowledge on many of those subjects, and in some cases, like the Roswell Incident, they have heard about Roswell but don't know a lot about it. They are mostly curious, as one of the main reasons they have come to Roswell is to learn more about it.
I have tried for years to limit my primary research to the Roswell Incident, Area 51 in Nevada, Underground Bases, and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Other topics do occasionally come up in discussions, such as abductions, crop circles, sightings, other crashes, whether I've had any problems with the government doing this research, and other subjects that people are curious about.
On abductions I usually refer to the Barney and Betty Hill case, and Travis Walton's "Fire in the Sky" incident, which are the two I place most confidence in as being actual events. On crop circles I have my own theory about them that I share, which may or may not be correct. I'm frequently asked if I've ever had a UFO sighting myself since I do UFO research, and most people are surprised that I have not had a verifiable sighting, but share with them that my wife did have one many years ago back in Ohio. I have had many people over the years share an experience they've had with me, and in every case their memory of it is as vivid as if it had happened yesterday. They never forget it.
Most people have at least heard of Roswell, but when I mention where other crashes have occurred such as Rendleshem Forest in England, Kingman Arizona, Brazil, and Aztec New Mexico they have never heard of them. The Government and military went public with Roswell with the media, and almost 69 years later they are still making excuses for what happened in Roswell, so you really don't hear much about the other incidents until researchers begin looking in to the case.
The Aztec New Mexico case really surprises them, since it occurred 8 months after Roswell in March 1948, with a 99' craft and 13 bodies. On any problems I've had by doing UFO research, I refer them to my website and the "Interception" article I experienced with alleged U.S. Air Force OSI agents, that after 12 years of research turned out to be a hoax. So the discussions we have are extremely interesting and my desire is that they leave my tour with a lot more information then they had when they came to Roswell.
When talking about the Roswell Incident, I'm able to share with them what I was told by actual first hand witnesses that I knew, such as Walter Haut who wrote the article for the newspaper on July 8 stating in part, "We have in our possession a flying saucer." Glenn Dennis that was the mortician at Ballard Funeral Home in 1947. I was with both of those gentlemen every day for 2½ years while I was a volunteer at the UFO Museum from 1996-1998, so I got to know them both really well. Jesse Marcel Jr., who was Intelligence Officer Major Marcel's son, and I did UFO conferences with, had dinner with him and his wife Linda, and we emailed and telephoned each other until he passed away a few years ago. I knew Sheriff Wilcox's daughters, Lt. Robert Shirkey, the weights and measures officer at the base in 1947, and several others. Additionally, I can share some of the history about Roswell such as the German prisoner of war camp that was here in the 1940's, with 4800 German prisoners; the old west statues of Cattle King John Chisum and Sheriff Pat Garrett, who supposedly shot and killed Billy the Kid. There is a lot of history to Roswell other than the UFO Incident that most people know nothing about.
In 2006 I did a few lectures at Rachel Nevada, close by Area 51, and went out and harassed the guards at both gates at the entrances to the super secret base. Most people don't know that the base was opened in 1955 by the CIA to test the U-2 spy plane, and we didn't find out about it until the 1980's through a Russian spy satellite photo. The signs at both gates that state, "The use of deadly force is authorized," should be taken seriously as they mean what they say. Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has stated she will find out what goes on at Area 51. None of the previous Presidents have ever been able to do that, and in fact her husband and former President Bill Clinton initiated a Presidential Determination about Area 51, so I don't expect her to find out anymore than previous Presidents have known, which is very little.
With a 33-year background doing quality control and quality assurance inspection in civil engineering work with the Texas Department of Transportation, retiring 20 years ago in 1996 when I moved to Roswell, I've always had an interest in what transpires beneath our feet with the TBM's (tunnel boring machines.) The more I have researched that, the more I have learned not only about how that equipment operates, the various types of machines, but the massive underground facilities they create below ground. Most people know very little about that.
In 2001 I was asked to join the Great Pyramids of Giza Advisory Board, which was an honor for me. The 3 pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, are for me much older than the Egyptian civilization, consequently I do not believe that they were build by Egyptians using copper tools. The 80 or 90 other pyramids in Egypt were probably built by Egyptians, but are poor replicas of the 3 on the Giza plateau. It will be hard to convince anyone of that however, since tourism is the largest industry in Egypt. It appears that the great pyramid of Giza has 2 ½ million stones comprising it, and with the number of people used to build it, over the time frame mentioned, a stone would have had to be set every 90 seconds. Mathematically, I don't think it was possible.
At my age I realize I won't have answers to all the information I've gathered over the years doing this research, but I hope by me being able to share it, young people will get involved in the research, while perhaps others will think about it, and perhaps know a little more than they did before. There are a lot of unanswered questions for me, so I'll keeping searching for the truth and hope others will also.
