AUFORN Sighting Form Report
28.07.08 LAUNCESTON (TAS) 0655hrs (NL)
Source: AUFORN ONLINE UFO Report Form
Witness: Ms. Julie S
Number of witnesses present: 1
Sighting Duration: 2 to 3 mins
Occupation: Shop Attendant
Observation: I was waiting for the bus at bus stop on Invermay Rd and noticed a light high in the sky coming towards me from the west and thought unusual because planes would of left the airport, I think they depart 6ish to 6.15am, and the path it was taking unusual because planes usually follow the river up or down depending if coming or going. It could of been a light aircraft but it seemed to be too high and there was no noise. There was hardly any traffic so not a lot of noise around me and thought it strange I couldn't hear anything. It was slow moving and it slowly made a turn towards the south then my bus came, almost didn't get on. Mentioned to driver there was a strange light out there but they weren't interested. Didn't see again.
It was most probably an aircraft just seemed unusual. Maybe you can see if there were any aircraft in the area at that time and let me know.
