Date: May 28 2009

Time: About 8:30pm

Number of witnesses: 4

Number of objects: One light about an area of a cricket ground.

Shape of objects: Dont know

Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: No

Weather Conditions: Cloudy - Overcast - fairly low cloud cover

Description: While sitting around a fire outside of our caravans (2). We noticed a large patch of cloud lit up just to the south of us. It looked as though it was illuminated from above. We watched it for about 5 minutes, and then saw a beam of light similar to a beam from a spotlight playing around from the illuminated cloud area. We then concluded that it was probably spotlight shooters shining their light on the cloud.

As we watched - by this time we were all watching, and the illuminated cloud went out, to reappear some distance away from where it had been, probably about 500 metres away.

The beam then reappeared as a truck approached toward Ceduna. The beam of light followed the truck past where we were and proceeded to follow it down the road.

The strange thing was the light was wider at the cloud and narrowed down to the truck as if the truck had a driving light playing on the cloud, in other words the light was upside down to what you would expect. However there was no driving light facing upwards on the truck, they were all throwing straight down the road as normal. We all stood agape for some seconds, and didnt have the presence of mind to call the truck on his 2 way radio unfortunately.

We watched it for some minutes until it disappeared toward Ceduna.

The previous night my wife said that during the night a vehicle had driven in to where we were parked and its lights had shone through the caravan curtains.

I didnt see that, but she was adamant it had occurred.

There were no wheel marks in the dirt around our caravan that I could see in the morning.
