Time: Approx 1am

Number of witnesses: Approx 10

Number of objects: 2

Shape of objects: Orange lights which looked somewhat triangular

Weather Conditions: Totally clear and still

Description: Number of people chatting in backyard at party. Overlooking canal. One person said "look at that." In the Southern sky at a few (1 or 2) thousand feet two orange triangular lights some distance apart slowly moved across the sky for approx 5 to 8 minutes. Enough time to gather a group of people and watch. No navigation lights or headlights apparent. Slow and straight movement. No noise. Like two helicopters in distance?? As there is an airforce base somewhere around there we thought it must be two helicopters on manouvres after usual commercial flights had ceased?? Cannot find any reference on web to this. Was very weird and unmistakable. Many viewers are sceptical re UFO's including myself. As I said it may have been two helicopters (???) allowed to travel without nav lights. Really had us talking though. Many witnesses. One person said it might be an advertising stunt of some kind but they havent done well if it was. It didnt really seem to be copters though but you never know.

TV/Radio: No reports whatsoever anywhere??? I am surprised.
