Airdrie, Alberta

Date: December 13, 2003
Time: 11:10 p.m.

On December 13, 2003 I reported on a unusual sighting which took place over Airdrie, Alberta. A witness was driving home from the work place in Calgary and witnessed a bright tunnel of light come down from somewhere in the sky, it lit up all of Airdrie and then it went back up into the sky again. The event took only seconds before it was over with.

Today on December 22, 2003 at 5:40 p.m. I received a telephone call from a nice fellow who reports that when he and two other close friends were doing some filming just east of Airdrie. They were out in a field when all three witnessed a bright flash of light on the evening of December 13, 2003 at around the same time the witness was driving home from Calgary to Airdrie at approx: 11:10 p.m.. The man I talked with said he had his back to where the flash originated from, but he quickly turned around and watched a extremely bright white object move "up" in altitude and disappeared within a couple of seconds. The witness believes he may have lost sight of the object due to some low cloud cover. Whatever it was, was first seen traveling well below the cloud cover and was climbing higher up and possibly into the clouds and this could be the reason why they lost sight of it. The object was traveling towards the north/northeast. The size of the object was reported to be that of a Volley Ball. No sound was heard coming from the object.

An interesting part to the sighting the three fellows had was that one of the witnesses was being filmed as he ran into the field, the bright flash was noted by all, but no light had shown up on the film once it was viewed later on. Again all these witnesses, and the other who was driving home from Calgary report seeing the light traveling back up into the night sky.

I hope I hear from others who may have witnessed this and have other details on this event.

Thank you to the witnesses for their report.
