Windsor, Ontario Three Witness Get A Show

Date: June 26, 2004
Time: 10:40 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 1 then 3
Shape of objects: Spherical

Full Description of event/sighting: My 76 year old father-in-law (name removed), my 14 year old son (name removed) and myself, 42 years of age - were sitting in my backyard, at the entrance of my garage door, watching a small fire I had made in my outdoor fire pit. We were facing due-East at that time and it was a clear night all around.

We were talking about the stars that we say in the sky and (father-in-law) was saying how he had never a shooting star before. Then (son) and I were talking about NORAD. I was explaining to him what it was all about.

Suddenly, (son) (to my right) looks North, jumps out of his chair in excitement and literally hollers "LOOK! - OH MY GOD, IT'S A METEOR".

Well, instantly (father-in-law) and I looked North, jumped and shouted a few Holy _ _ _ _! 's ourselves.

At this point, (son) had moved in front running to get my digital camera for a picture.

The single huge object was fiery bright orange with a huge long trail. It was absolutely crystal clear to us that this was a meteor. From our view, we witnessed the object traveling from the North-west in an Easterly to South-Easterly direction for approx. 15-20 seconds. At which time, two smaller chunks broke away. One headed in a South-Easterly direction and the other same size object, headed North-East.

Wouldn't you know it, the battery in my camera had enough charge to flash but not enough to process and store the picture.

Within 5-7 minutes of us loosing sight of the object, we were again sitting in our chairs talking excitedly about what we had just witnessed. I reiterated that (father-in-law) had just made the comment about never before seeing a shooting star. This was unbelievable. Looking up from my chair to the South-East sky, I saw three very tiny red lights heading West. I told my son (name removed) to look at them as well. We watch these 3 red lights travel at speeds neither of us had ever witnessed. They traveled across the entire night sky at speeds none of us had ever seen or heard about. And as well, they were not stationary. All three lights jockeyed around each other. Again, like nothing we had ever seen.

I had great difficulty seeing them as they had faded from my sight, (son) said he could still see them. He pointed them out to me and he was right. At that precise moment, we both witnessed one of the lights leave the pack and head directly back in the direction from which it came. And again, at speeds neither of us could explain. Rene couldn't see them anymore at this point.

The two other lights continue on until we could no longer see them and the single light, heading in the opposite direction had also disappeared.

Sorry for the details, but this was absolutely so cool - and the fact that we couldn't get a picture - turned this into a fish story with my wife. She keeps saying (in a teasing way), "how come there wasn't anything on news, or Discovery Daily Planet or the newspaper if this thing was so huge and awesome as you say". So, when I saw the article posted: "UFO SIGHTING REPORT HAMILTON ONTARIO June 26th 2004 Brian Vike, Director HBCC UFO Research

I had to submit a report as well. I've looked everywhere I can and this is the only case that validates our sighting.

Thank you to the person for sending in this super report.
