UFO Sighting Report - Poland

Please note that the reports in this section have been submitted to UFOINFO/UFO ROUNDUP and accepted in good faith. No investigation has been carried out by UFOINFO.

With the increasing use of digital cameras we are seeing more photos showing alleged 'UFOs' - many of these could be insects, cloud shapes etc. As many readers have asked to see the photos I will be using some of them and leaving it up to the individual to make up their own mind - John @ UFOINFO.

July 17th 2005 : Wroclaw, Dolnoslaskie

POLAND: 8 witnesses observe a black triangle over Wroclaw [17/07/05]

Wroclaw [woj.Dolnoslaskie], July 17th 2005, 23:00 - midnight.

On July 17th 2005 at about 11 pm, a group of 8 witnesses gathered in the center of Wroclaw [a capital city of Dolnoslaskie wojewodztwo] was observing a black triangle that approached with incredible speed and some small lights followed it.

Mr. Jacek Toczek, skywatcher and one of the witnesses, wrote: "It was unusual. I was on a meeting with my family and some friends and there were 8 of us. I was looking around and suddenly I looked up and I stunned - three yellowish lights were hovering vertically over me, each of them was in size of a ping-pong ball. The lights created a triangle. The space between them was black, it was an object of triangular shape. When I noticed it, I began screaming and informing others. At the moment when other persons began observing the phenomenon, the object left with unbelieveable, almost cosmic speed. After several seconds 8 or 9 balls of yellowish light joined it and along with the object they created a V - shape formation. The objects departed after several seconds.

"My friend working at the Panda - a ferry - icecrusher, invited us onboard. He encouraged us to arrive in that evening to come there to admire a beautiful sight of an illuminated bridge. I along with my wife Ania [Anna], her brother Krzysztof and his wife and auntie Ania and her husband Janusz, we went there at about 9:30 pm. My friend Piotrek [Piotr] was waiting there for us along with her wife, Beata. Being onbard, we discussed while admiring the beautiful sight of the bridge. I as usually was peering at the sky occasionally."

"The visibility conditions were well. Everyone was occupied with one's own activities. I was looking at the sky from every direction, except the part located directly over me. I was sitting on a ferry port, facing southwards. The bridge is located in the western district of the city, near two great estates of Popowice and Kozanowo.

All of a sudden my subconciousness ordered me to look up. Rising my sight up, I saw three lights creating a triangular formation. I was looking at that strange phenomena for 4-5 seconds, trying to evaluate it."

"I again looked up at the starry sky for comparison. After a fraction of a second, I came up to the idea that they weren't stars. The object was standing still, the lights were in a color of dimmed yellow with a slight glow around. It seemet that a darker shadow of a triangle is visible in the space between those 3 lights. In that moment [it was about 10:56 pm.], I began screaming to others to look u them." "In a fraction of a second all of them rose heads in curiosity. At that moment the formation started up southwesternwards with amazing speed, flying very low over very dense-populated estates. The lights were about 1 - 2 km. over our heads."

"After about a second after the start, some balls of identical color joined it. They flew from the same direction the object had started. The whole event happened very quickly. The rest of the balls joined to the original three ones and formed a key-shaped formation. The entire formation left with amazing speed [20.000 km/h, I assumed]. During the flight the entire formation leaned leftward, slightly rising up." "Lights at right began vanishing. I think that they were obscured by an object that slightly turned left. My wife told me to take a photo with my cell-phone camera. The flight lasted 3-4 seconds and before I grasped my phone, the incident came to the end. A small point, resembling a star, remained visible. I think that I wasn't anyway able to take a photo due to the formation speed. Confussion appeared. Since that moment only I and my wife amongst a group consisted of 8 people, knew that observations like that one are real. The rest treated this kind of phenomena very skeptically but after the sighting they completelly changed their minds. Each of the group admitted that he/she does believe in UFO since saw it. I was very saisfied that my stories about unknown were certified."

"Yesterday, at 11 pm. I took the photos. I was onboard the same ferry but nothing occured. My mate drew my attention toward strange smell of sulfur peremating over a trap linking the ferries with the shore. We weren't able to find its source or a place it emanated. After that sighting I wasn't able to sleep all the night althought many times I was at the doorsil of the unknown. But the thing I saw in Wroclaw center, left behind all my expectations."
