Date: 9 October 2005 at 10.24pm Approach Direction: from south Departure Direction: north Witness Direction: north Description: I was driving north on either the M40 or M6, I cant remember exactly where i was, on my way up north from London. I only noticed the light as it appeared over the top of my windscreen and continued in front of me, very quickly for about 3 seconds and then disappeared as if behind a cloud, although there were none. The light was as if a stealth bomber had been illuminated brightly. A big upside down Y shape.The entire of which was bright yellow/white light. It was flying high but size wise it was so big it looked as though it were only 1/3 a mile up.Other cars on the motorway slowed down. I have noticed a similar sighting in California on the same day. I have never believed in this sort of thing till now. Color/Shape: upside down Y. Yellow white light Height & Speed: high? 1.5/2 miles up. moving fast. TV/Radio/Press: I saw a web sighting for something very similar in California on the same day about 4 hours apart.
