Location: Motorway M4 river crossing at Maidenhead Berkshire England. Great Britain

Date: 29/8/08

Time: 8.45pm

Number of witnesses: 3

Number of objects: Approx 10

Shape of objects: Small stocky cone shaped

Weather Conditions: Low cloud

Description: Bright fires of light travelling from west to east slow moving below cloud, grouping above the M4 Motorway, before lining up and curving before disappearing.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hello John,

These appeared to be quite bright and moving fast. I managed to take two photos with my digital camera, I've never really heard of Chinese Lanterns, but on viewing some videos this is a possibility. I have always been keen to watch the sky. After a sighting I saw in the fields where I live, when I was about 18 (I am now 60). But then it was very different. My wife and myself used to go back to the site but never saw anything again, this one I really don't know.
