Shape of objects: Short beam of light that sped past. The beam was a discrete unit measuring about a metre, long and cylindrical with very soft light.

Weather Conditions: Clear skys

Description: We were walking the dogs in the field at the back of the village with no artificial light around. Suddenly a light swept across us to the right at about shoulder height. It was like a short beam of light but it was discrete, measuring about a metre maybe two and long and thin. It swept over my sister first and then passed by my shoulder. The quality of the light was very soft. We both shouted to each other "did you see that?" and looked around to see if there was anything that could have produced the light, but there wasn't. My sister thought it had a pink tinge to it. Be good to get an explanation of what might have caused this as it was very, very strange...
