Shape of objects: Unclear; just what appeared to be moving lights.

Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: No

Weather Conditions: Clear, mild wind going in opposite direction (south)

Description: Colored lights, very blurry on a clear night. Appeared at first to be a low-flying aircraft due to apparent length as it approached. As it got overhead, it seemed much more distant. The lights separated, came back together, and rotated around each-other with some rapidity. The apparent speed was super-sonic, much faster than even a low-flying airplane could achieve.

The lights traveled due north, and once several miles distant went over the top of and were obscured by distant low clouds.
