Pueblo West is between Pueblo and Canyon City, Colorado, south of Ft. Carson and Colorado Springs.

Around the spring of 1970 I was driving home to Pueblo from Pueblo West, west to east, at about 11:10 PM. Once out on Highway 50 I noticed a light on the highway behind me through my rear view mirror. Around the year 1970 there was not much traffic then, as Pueblo West was a new community and the area was pretty desolate for miles. As I continued to watch this light behind me, I presumed it was another vehicle on the road. But as I watched I noticed that it was traveling at a high rate of speed and gaining on me fast. As it approached my car the light never divided into two headlights, the color was very bright and bluish-white, and from the time I first noticed it until it was over my car it must have been only 3 or 4 seconds. Once it caught up to me, the light illuminated the inside of my car and then it was gone. Boy did I pick up my speed to get home after that.

Color/Shape: Pulsating sound only, did not go out to look.
