Date: mid august 1989 around 3:00 pm

Approach Direction: west

Departure Direction: north

Witness Direction: facing west

Description: I was watching a hawk with binoculars and saw along the rim of the valley just above the treetops a black flying object.It was oval shaped with a split in the middle, it was flyingup and down along the ridge and when it went in the shadows i could not see it. It made no sound at all, I thought it was a military secret plane but who knows?

Color/Shape: Black, it's shape reminded me of the bat signal in the old series Batman. It had two fan shapes connected in the middle.it flew like a jet plane swooping up and down

Height & Speed: extremely fast, it was moving from my left to right and eventually went beyond the ridgeline and out of sight

TV/Radio/Press: no this place is extremely rural. only ranches.
